Family Ties • Rhode Island Family Photographer

As a family photographer, what is one of the most intimidating things for me to photograph?  My own family.  As a photographer in general, what do I always say?  Get photographs of your family.  They are so, so important.

You've probably heard it a million times from me or from other people in person or on the web, but it's true:  photos, especially family photos, are so important.  Moments pass in the blink of an eye, but having those photos on your wall are a beautiful and lasting reminder.

As a family photographer in Rhode Island, I've taken photos of lots of families and children from all over the state.  I've even photographed some of my own family members before.  Not long ago, my aunt contacted me to find out if I could take photos of my grandmother, my mother, and my aunts.  That way my grandmother could have a photo of all her daughters and herself.  Sure!  I can do this!  It's a bit of a tall order to make sure you do a good job photographing the woman who raised you, the woman who raised her, and two other awesome women who have known you and taken care of you your whole life.  But no problem, I've got this.

On a recent morning we all gathered in my Peace Dale studio for the photo session.  My clients were very calm and well behaved ;).  I had a wonderful time shooting this session (as you can see below, lots of fun was involved) and I can only hope that these photos will help you to see how you need photos of yourself with your family as well.  I love all these women and I am so very happy to have been able to capture some great moments with them.  Get in touch with me to capture great moments with your family, too.
