West Kingston Fall Family Session | RI Family Photographer

Family photo sessions in the fall are great. The weather is (usually) pretty good: not too cold and not too hot. Depending on when the session is done in particular, there may be a hint or more of foliage in the background. We’re lucky enough to live in an area where we usually get pretty decent foliage. As a RI family photographer, fall is when I get the most requests for family sessions by far!

I was able to photograph this sweet family on an afternoon in early fall. When I did this session, it had been just over a year since their now-toddler had been in my studio for her newborn photos, and just a bit longer than that since mom’s maternity session. It’s amazing how fast a couple can grow to a family, and how fast a tiny baby can grow to a walking, talking small human.

Our session was at a beautiful location in West Kingston. The leaves were just barely starting to change. We’d planned the family’s outfits with that fall theme in mind. The day was a little breezy, which made for plenty of falling leaves for a happy toddler to chase after. Toddlers love to move around and the falling leaves were a perfect opportunity for her to do that! We also got some great family shots, and photos of Miss A with each of her parents. Take a look below to check out some of the photos from our session!
