Surfboard Stories Volume 4 • Wakefield RI Photographer

My fourth Surfboard Story is Lea.  You may remember that Lea was in the first story with me but she gets her own feature as well.  Lea is my travel buddy and she's also a really good cook and I love her to pieces.  Also, she is the best airport shopper I've ever met.  Not even kidding.  If you're in love with Lea's suit in this photo (which you should be) you can get your own from Seea.  We love our Seea suits and think everyone should have one or twelve.  Cough.  Lea gave me permission to use/paraphrase the answers to her questions from the (AWESOME!) video we did in Volume 1 of Surfboard stories so my writing skills are being put to the test here, guys.  Read on for Lea's lovely photo of her and her board, and her answers to the Surfboard Stories questions.

Lea is throwing us a shaka!

What's your name?  My name's Lea.

Do you have a superhero name or any superpowers I should know about?  No, but some people call me the Chicken Lady because I can heal chickens.  (I find that to be a superpower!)

What board did you bring with you today?  My beautiful 9' Bing Gold Standard.  It's a great board!

Why did you bring this board?  I brought this board because it's beautiful and because we have such wonderful memories associated with this board in Barbados.

Where did you get it?  Potter found it on Craigslist and drove out to Cape Cod to get it.  He thought it would be a great board for me and it was a good deal.  I got this board because of my sweetheart.

Do you remember the first wave you ever caught on this board?  Yes, I do.  It was at Pilgrim Avenue on the inside on a decent swell and I was on the inside.  On the first wave I caught I named the board Nim.  Because she is so nimble and also because I really like the movie The Secret of Nimh.

Do you remember your favorite wave ever (or favorite day ever) on this board?  Yes, it was the first day in Barbados at Freight's Bay.  They were the most perfect waves ever.  The first day was so magical and the waves were so blue with a gorgeous wall.

Do you have a favorite place to ride it?  Freight's Bay in Barbados.

Any final words?  Just that I love you, and I love being friends with you and surfing with you and traveling with you.  (Same here, Lea!)
