My Favorite Locations: West Kingston Autumn Beauty • RI Family Photographer

If you've been following my series on my favorite locations, you may have noticed that I have a bit of an obsession with paths, trails, and dirt roads.  Part of my job as a RI family photographer is location scouting, and this girl spends an awful lot of time looking for those perfect paths and roads.

This spot in West Kingston is probably one of the most perfect dirt roads I've come across.  It's near the Great Swamp and the train tracks and Kingston Station.

Due to hunting in the Great Swamp area, this spot is usable only part of the year.  There is a long stretch in the fall when this lovely road is able to be used.   That's extremely fortunate, because this particular location looks amazing in the fall.

The very first time I saw this spot in the fall, it took my breath away.  It looks like the entire road is lined with trees on fire.  It's a gorgeous sight to behold, and makes for a fantastic setting for autumn themed photos.

The light in this location is very pretty (something I look for in all the locations I use!) and it looks perfect filtering through the autumn leaves.  The location works wonderfully for family sessions, sibling sessions, princes sessions, and everything in between.  There are often sightings of bunnies and the occasional deer.  You may even find, as I did, that you like this area so much that you come back for a hike.  There is lots of natural beauty to explore in the surrounding area.

If you're considering a fall session with me this year, this location just may be the perfect place for it!
