Project Light: May I • Southern RI Children's Photographer

Month five of my 2016 personal project is underway, and this month's theme is composition and light.  That is, being mindful of your composition and how light adds to it, makes it prettier, or maybe light IS the composition.

May has been a month of laying low for me; I've been dealing with Lyme disease for some time and it has not been a good time lately.  (Ticks are bad.  So bad.)  That said, light is everywhere and there isn't much that will stop a photographer from picking up a camera when the light is right.  As a result of me spending a bit more time at home, Lionel makes a cameo in several photos.  In addition to photos around my house and yard, I did take a few trips to Narragansett and one to Wickford.

Having a project like this has been wonderful so far.  I love, love, love being a RI children's photographer, and this project gives me an opportunity to see and photograph things in a whole other way when I'm not on a shoot.

If you've missed Lionel (or even if you haven't) take a look below to see light adventures for the first half of May.
