Project 365: Crunchy Leaves Spell October • Rhode Island Family Photographer

This post is about three things:  leaves, boots, and animals (I can't say my usual "cats" because, shocker of shockers, there is a dog in this post.  I know.  I know.)

It's getting close to the end of the 365 days of this photo a day project.  As of today, there are less than sixty days left.  In some ways, this is kind of a relief, although there are so many things I still want to do.  October is a busy month for photographers (kind of like April for tax professionals).  The second part of October fit right into this particular stereotype for me.  Each day I'm rushing around trying to get work done and trying to fit in a semi-creative photo.  The second half of October may have some really good examples of phoning it in.  It does, however, have a preview of one of the most fun kid sessions EVER taking advantage of the fall color down in the Great Swamp area in South Kingstown...stay tuned for more of this fun session.  And as much as I complain about summer being the only good season, colorful leaves in general do provide a pretty awesome backdrop for pretty much anything.  And they even make nice up close subjects, and art projects .  What is your favorite thing about fall leaves?  Let me know in the comments!

Check out below for what went on in the second half of October.  Lionel says he knows he's handsome, and he would love if someone came over to pet him.
