A couple of days ago I went down to Pt. Judith and it was foggy.  Sooooo foggy.  The kind of foggy where, when you're in the water, you can't tell where the waves are or when they're coming or where you are or where the shore is.  It can be scary; boats can come really close to you because they don't know where they are either (this happened to me twice.  I think it took a few years off my life).  On land, it's not as scary but is nevertheless a little strange and disorienting.  As a kid, I read a lot of spooky stories that took place in giant houses in the moors in England where there always seemed to be fog.  I wonder if it was like this?
