You knew that I could take photos of your family and kids in my studio. You knew I could do a session with you all outdoors. But did you know that I can come to you and photograph your little people in their natural environment?
Lifestyle photography is something that not everyone is aware of. When I've mentioned it to clients, a lot of them have expressed surprise that something like this exists...but they're also excited. Your child may not want to pose or smile for the traditional portrait. If she or he is a toddler, it's probably a struggle for her to sit still. (Confession: I'm not a toddler. It's hard for me to sit still). This worries a lot of parents: is it worth it to get photos done?
The answer is YES! A lifestyle session is exactly what you're looking for. Whether you're involved or it's just your kids, capturing them for part of their day while they go about their normal routine is the BEST way to get natural, adorable photos. Bonus: I bring several Pez dispensers to every session. Even with no candy in them, the little people tend to love them!
If you've been avoiding a photo session for your children because they're not into the posed thing, think again. I recently had a mid-morning lifestyle session in South Kingstown, RI with two siblings and it was super fun. Miss L loved my Elsa Pez dispenser; Elsa and Barbie became BFF's. Mr. O...well, he was trying to just go with the flow. He may have been wondering when his next nap would be; I can't blame him. This session was lots of fun! I got to be inside and outside. We played with the cat and the dog; we went inside a princess castle; and I think I was given the side eye by a four-month-old. Yup, this session was a winner.
